I quit and?
I work for a finance publication in a big city and I loved for a while because I felt I was working my way up the ladder of life with a bit of success, but in the last year i havent been promoted or achieved anything more than raise the cost of living though I have received comments brilliant performance. I've asked a raise, I even asked to take more work, but my boss has not done anything and rejected the idea. Recently, my writing has been criticized to the point where I dont even want to write more. I'm not sure if its me or revenge because they think I'm looking for a new job. I saw a job a community newspaper where I grew up, a place that I loved. have lower wages and benefits but probably less than in the past i worked for a newspaper community and loved it. I feel like going back to my roots it would be more rewarding, but mentally give up the progress I have made in the big moment is probably not be the best career move. then again I'm miserable.
My philosophy of life is to be happy at work …. Money is not everything …. So what if you are making a tons more, if your unhappy, all that extra money probably wont cover the frustration of his feelings at work right now. It seems that this new work is in a familar happy for you. I say go for it … if it makes you happy, you should. As the saying goes, when u close a door, God opens another window …. have faith, trust your instincts … when u are able to silence the chatter in your head, you know the right decision for you!
